Lauren Smith, Consultant
Lauren Smith is a Consultant at Federal Management Partners, Inc., with experience in training, survey research, employee development, and performance management. Before joining FMP, Ms. Smith was involved in the instructional design of a variety of courses, including organizational assessment, selecting and prioritizing initiatives, team building, and facilitation. She has also contributed to the development and implementation of a customer satisfaction survey and has assisted a government agency in developing a Quality Management System.
Ms. Smith has also been involved in the design, implementation, statistical analysis, and presentation of a variety of employee life-cycle surveys including new hire surveys, employee opinion surveys, and exit interviews. As a project manager for an online 360 degree feedback process, Ms. Smith was actively involved its setup, management, and delivery and is adept at managing both client concerns and help desk issues. Her experience in performance management includes conducting focus groups at all levels of the organization to solicit feedback on a new company-wide individual performance tool. Ms. Smith also tested the validity of a series of behavioral competencies for the new performance evaluation process.
Ms. Smith conducted independent research through a grant with the National Science Foundation and presented her findings at the Eastern Psychological Association’s professional conference in 2004. She also participated as a fellow in the American Psychological Association’s Summer Science Institute program. Ms. Smith received her M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from George Mason University and her B.A. in Psychology from Grove City College.
