Meg Grimes, Consultant
Ms. Grimes has over thirty-eight years of experience in the areas of human resources management, EEO complaint investigations, and office administration. She has worked for a number of Federal agencies in both an employee and consultant capacity. In the field of Human Resource Management, Ms. Grimes has accomplished both operational and staff assignments in the fields of classification, staffing, employee relations, and employee development. She has conducted organization studies, including designing organizational structures, simplifying work processes, defining jobs, determining skills mix, identifying staffing levels, and developing retraining plans. She has developed performance management systems, and advised on performance management and other employment concerns. Ms. Grimes served as Classification Appeals Officer for a regional office of OPM and oversaw wage setting for local national employees of the U.S. Forces in Italy and the United Kingdom and successfully negotiated a labor agreement with the Italian unions.
Ms. Grimes has also personally investigated a wide range of EEO complaints, obtained testimony, identified and evaluated evidence, and completed Reports of Investigation (ROI) with supporting evidentiary files. She has managed a regional Office of Investigations for a major department of the federal government, trained in-house investigators and oversaw contract investigations. She provided support to agency headquarters in development of policy for EEO investigations, and has conducted mediations of EEO complaints and other workplace disputes
